Comment: I am really looking forward to this reunion. Like most of you, my years at SMN were a wonderful time. I left North and went to Emporia where I met my husband Steve. We married and went on the road for several years, then lived in Houston, and now Hackett, AR. Life has been good to us and very interesting all along the way. We have 3 sons, 2 daughters-in law and 3 grandchildren. I am a high school English teacher which is both the good and the bad news. Thanks to everyone who has helped to make this reunion possible. Can't wait to tell old stories and share new ones. |

Comment: Luckily and with much hard work, I lived my dream of becoming a professional cellist! Graduating from Drake U in 1973 and the Eastman School of Music in 1975. I worked in orchestras in Toledo, Ohio and the Hong Kong Philharmonic before ending up in New York, where I worked in the Brooklyn Phil and on several Broadway shows, the longest stint being in CATS. If you went to Cats, I was probably there! After it closed, as all shows do, I went back to school for a Masters in Elementary Education. And finished my working career, 13 more years, as a public school teacher in the Bronx. Whew!! Now I’m happily retired with my beau of 25 years and living north of the city where my excitement is the occasional bear or coyote in the back yard. |
