Comment: Mixed emotions: Looking forward to seeing everyone, but sadden after just learning of the passing of two school mates who were near and dear.

Since leaving Shawnee Mission North, Michael married his sweetheart Debbie and began to work various jobs. Mike eventually landed a job in the White House working for The Bratton Corporation for a number of years. Working at Bratton he enjoyed various activities such as lobster and crab boils, steel drum concerts and pig on a spit luaus. With the recession of the early 90s Michael moved into the medical billing and insurance industry helping people navigate a messy health care system without a map or asking for directions. More recently Michael has enjoyed the company of his two adult daughters. Kristi who is 32 and the one charged with caring for him and his helper monkey in old age and Beth who is 30 who has blessed him with the best and most brilliant grandchildren to walk the earth. As a PaPa Michael enjoys teaching the children to count to 4, which is the daily limit on their trout fishing tags and sheepishly confesses that a local meteorologist has changed more of his grandson’s diapers than he has. Michael enjoys the company of his wife Debbie and taking the occasional weekend getaways. Kristi enjoys him taking his sweetheart (her mom) away for the weekend because she can crash their house with the big TV where vicious rounds of Jeopardy are played during dinner each evening. Michael is cherished and loved by his family and his warm spirit is often an encouragement to those around him. By Kristi and Beth his daughters

Comment: *note to Doug Potter... I do have all the old band pics that were sent back to me from the Hard Rock Cafe. I guess we were just missing that "Hit Single"

...and yes I'm still doing the same music / band thing I started at Old Mission Jr. High with no plans to retire soon. Looking forward to seeing everyone in June and no, I probably will not be wearing a suit. I only put that on when I am going to the bank for "bail-out" money... ;-) www.rickbacus.com for more info.
