Comment: LIke Gloria Steinem, I don't mate well in captivity. But I had a relationship with Matt Kinkead after we hooked up at the 20th reunion till his death in 2003. Last year I was successfully treated for stage II breast cancer--couldn't have gone through it without my significant other, Jack Klinknett, an attorney in Lawrence, KS. I'm back in the classroom, teaching English at UMKC. Hope to attend with our old drama teacher Roma Drevets! |

Comment:
I graduated from the University of Kansas in 1973, married my college sweetheart, Hank Jarrett, and we have been married for 36 years. I taught school for a couple of years and then changed my focus to Human Resources. I have my professional certification in Human Resources and work as a Human Resources Generalist for CooperVision, the second largest contact lens manufacturer in the world. Hank is an aerospace engineer .He retired from NASA and then went back to work for them as a government contractor. We live in Virginia Beach, Virginia with our Irish Setter, and our African Grey Parrot. I will not be attending the reunion but it is nice to know what everyone else has been doing. I know the reunion will be fun. |

Comment: I have great memories of my high school years at SMN. Although I moved away and have been back only a few times, the KC area is still "home" to me. I have traveled nearly every continent, with the exception of Antarctica and Australia, but still plan on visiting each soon. My world travels have included both business and pleasure and the friendships I've made abroad and locally will always remain warm memories in my heart. I continue to run my worldwide business. My husband and I enjoy my son, Joshua Sharp, his wife, Kayla, a Jacksonville Jaguars NFL cheerleader "2008 Rookie of the Year" and their daughter, Skyler, age 2. I am Co-Founder of The Skyler Mackenzie Sharp Foundation, a not for profit organization serving families and friends of individuals with Down Syndrome. Our purpose is to provide educational opportunities and resources for families, while promoting awareness, acceptance, inclusion, and advancement for individuals with Down Syndrome. My husband, Tony, and I love living on the east coast...The Golden Isles of Georgia...Sea Island, St. Simon's Island, Jeckyll Island, and the Port City of Brunswick. We play golf whenever we can and love the sunny, warmer weather of living in the Southeastern US. We wish each and every classmate of SMN Class of '69 great success today and in the future. Thank you for your friendships over the years. |
