Still alive,  kicking and working.  Still playing with cars & motorcycles.  Too stupid to retire and like what I do, so I'll just keep on doing it.  Living the dream in Overland Park and go down to our little cabin at the Ozarks often.

Can you believe it has been 40 years?  I am sure there will not be many that will remember me.  I was one of those that came into SMN in my senior year.  I was a transplant from the Missouri side of the river.  I do have fond memories of my year in choir with Mr. Young.  He was a great teacher and enlightened me to my gift of singing.  Since that time in high school I got married and with my husband entered the seminary for The Salvation Army.  After graduation we moved around to many different church homes including Minnesota, Illinois, back to Kansas, then back to Illinois.  I have three beautiful children, Jamie Curry, Shayna Stubblefield and Brandon MacLean.  I have been blessed a second time after the passing of my first husband, with another loving husband and we are currently living in Kokomo, Indiana pastoring The Salvation Army church. My husband David has two children...Thom Moffitt and Christina Reeves.  We are proud to have 7 1/2 (soon to be 8 in July) grandchildren.  God has been good and has blessed my life.  I often look back to those innocent years we spent in HS and wish I could have known then what I know now...but I guess that is what comes from experience and age.  I will not be able to attend this reunion but pray God will bless you all.  Send Nanci a MessageSend Nanci a Message

What a great site- I feel badly I  did not know it existed and have missed some activities of the class of '69. After graduation, I attended Northwest Nazarene University in Idaho, got my Master's from UMKC, lived and taught school in Australia for 2 1/2 years, was a missionary in the Phillippines, taught school in Washington, got married, lived and taught school in California, moved back to Overland Park in 1990. Whew- (a run-on sentence !) Taught school in Olathe for 24 years. Moved to Manhattan,(Kansas) so husband can pursue Dr degree. He now works at McPherson College in Kansas and we moved to Hutchinson 3 weeks ago. Hoping to make it to some of the activities in September ! Send Marilyn a MessageSend Marilyn a Message

Hats off to all of those who came up with this terrific website and have worked so hard on this reunion. Wow, seeing all the names and bio's is a real blast. I know 40 yrs is a long-time, but am still surprised to see so many of our classmates on the Remembrance List. Life is good. I'm fortunate to be married 35 yrs to Geri, w/3 terrific sons, 28, 26, 23 - one is married with a 1-1/2 yr old daughter in Chicago. We live in southern Overland Park, love to travel and Geri is heavily involved in flower gardening and volunteer work. After a career in the ad agency biz, I moved to Hub International (packaging) 26 years ago, where I am currently President. I don't know whether to sign up for the school tour or not - Coach Alpaugh might still be in there looking for me to serve an old 8th hour. Who is that guy with the walker in the picture in front of SMN - is he supposed to be one of us? :-) We had a super class at a great school. Look forward to seeing you all. Thanks again to all that have been working on the reunion.  You guys are the folks in our class that have made it happen from the beginning.  Thank you.

Susie (Susie Coffine SME 1969) and I now have eight Grand Kids.  Our oldest, Drew has two in Sarsota, FL.  Adam has four with us here in Raleigh.  And Amy has two also here in Raleigh.  We are really enjoying the Grand Kid thing.  What an other great phase in your life.

I am still working.  But not near as intense as before.  I sell boats at a marina on a lake we have always loved to go to in Viginia.

Can't wait to see everyone.  Please drop me a line in the mean time.

Dave

Thanks again.

My younger daughter now advises me that one of the old rock band glossies has indeed found its way into the Photo Albums area of this very website. Rest assured that the perpetrator of this outrage will indeed pay: maybe not today, and maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life.
Ah, well, might as well take this opportunity to update the pics. What is this antique I'm leaning on...some sort of primitive text-composing device? (30th anniversary portrait courtesy of gwizpix.com...)

Except for KU and a couple of years afterwards working in Topeka radio, had always lived within ten miles of SM North--Mission, Merriam. then Shawnee--and both our daughters went there as well.  In 2014, relocated to Rio Rancho, New Mexico, for proximity to Ruth's side of the family (in neighboring Albuquerque) and have made it a point to get back to the KC area a time or two each year for one special event or another.

Looks like in 2019 that event will be the 50th reunion, about which I have a theory: I do not believe it is possible...
